Classwork: Today, we took a break from the World Religions playlists to practice our close reading skills; as well as learn about some current events. After reading the article "Muslim teen hopes to help diversify emojis with a hijab version", we completed a close read on the article to begin to analyze and make connections. Next, we created our own "Emoji Proposals." Each group began to complete a proposal, which includes creating a new emoji that reflects inclusion, acceptance, and diversity. We will be continuing this project next week, before presenting to the "Unicode Executives" (Their Classmates!).

How does geography affect civilizations? Homework: Finish tasks 1-4, if needed. Be prepared for Project Day next week :) Classwork: We were feeling "Highlighter Happy" during our revision assignment. We spent the class in the library lab, revising our "Fall of Rome" responses. After revising, we used highlighters to analyze our work and ensure we have all the necessary components.
