Classwork: In class, we will be rotating through 5 stations to learn about Buddhism and Hinduism, as a part of the World Religions unit. At three stations, we will be analyzing primary sources, creating a main-idea flag, and completing a "Tweet a Buddha." There will be two stations dedicated to completing the World Religions playlist, Part 1. Stay tuned for images of student work, and attachments.

Classwork: In class, we began learning about our new topic-- World Religions. We worked in groups to categories our content words. During the second half of class, we completed task #1 of the World Religions playlist.
Homework: Flannel and Fuzzy Sock Day TOMORROW!!! Classwork: This week, students will be exploring and learning about Rhode Island's history. We will begin by interpreting the map of Rhode Island, and then dive into the state's role in various wars and battles. Lastly, at the end of the week, students will have a chance to propose a name for a new Rhode Island town!

After, groups were given the remainder of the class to complete the Tribe Research Project. Groups, who selected the option, will present to their class on Thursday. To begin class we watch a motivational video by Kid President-- to help get through tomorrow's election! Homework: Enjoy your day tomorrow! Go outside, play with friends, be with your families! Classwork: This week we went to the library computer room to finish our written responses to the question: "Why did the Roman Empire collapse?" We used our background knowledge, primary and secondary sources, to answer this essential question.
After completing this response, we resumed research for the Tribe Project. Homework: Continue turning in any late/missing work! Quarter closed FRIDAY. The quarter closes on Friday, November 4 Yikes!! In class, you received a progress report with your average and any missing assignments. Please turn in these assignments by Friday, for credit. All handouts and worksheets can be found in the classroom, or on Google Classroom. |
