Classwork: Today, we finished our investigation into the Feudal System, but focusing on the knights and code of chivalry. We looked at the code of chivalry, and prioritized the values. After, we read about the stages of knighthood and created a timeline. During the second half of class, we focused on the argument writing rubrics.

Classwork: In class, we finished up the Feudalism unit. We created presentations to explain and teach Feudalism; or we had an option to take an assessment. Below are video clips about Feudalism and Manorialism, as discussed in class. Homework: We will be getting back to the Current Events articles next week. Enjoy a little break :) Want extra credit?? Classwork: Today, we begin learning about the social classes of the Feudal System. We read four articles, each pertaining to one of the social classes. After learning about each social class, we will be completing a feudalism project as a processing assessment. Activity Goals: 1. To describe the social classes of the Feudal System. 2. Classwork: We began learning about the Middle Ages, by introducing new content words. We defined these words, and created images or sentences to help apply the new terms. Next, we played "Headbands." Each student was assigned a new term and had to ask for clues (from peers) to help figure out the assigned term. Next, we watched a video podcast about the Dark Ages. Homework: Current Events Log #4 Blue & Green 2/16 Red & Orange 2/15 Classwork: We participated in a questioning workshop to learn and practice developing open/closed ended questioning. We began by brainstorming questions we had about our new topic "the Middle Ages." Next, we learned about open/closed ended questions, before categorizing our own questions. At the end of class, we began investigating content words for our new topic.

Classwork: We began our mini unit on human-environment interaction on the Arabian Peninsula. Each group became experts in one type of environment found in the Arabian Peninsula and surrounding lands. After researching and analyzing information, groups collaborated in the class power point to describe their assigned environment. In addition, group learned about environmental adaptations, to determine how people adapt and interact with their environment.
